Purpose:
|
This meet is a meet for both experienced and novice swimmers aged 10 and under. The format of the meet allows swimmers to
compete in age specific races. This meet is hosted by the Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club and the Indian Creek Aquatic Club.

Facility:
|
The Cumberland Valley High School Natatorium has an eight (8) lane, 25 meter pool with a warm-up/cool-down
area opposite the competition pool. A fully automatic Colorado Timing System with display scoreboard and starting blocks on the deep end of the pool will be
used. Adequate deck space is available for all swimmers. Team areas and ready bull pen will be provided for swimmers. Spectator seating for 500 is
available in the gallery area above the pool.

Entries:
|
Each swimmer may swim a maximum of four (4) events. Swimmers must swim their age as of
June 1, 2009.
|
|
|
|
Entry Fee:
|
All events are $3.50 per event.
|
|
|
T-Shirts may be pre-ordered.

|

5 and under (limited events)

Awards:
|
Medals will be awarded for the first, second, and third places in each event. Custom ribbons will presented to the 4th
through 12th places in each event.
Heat Winner will also receive a prize.

Rules:
|
Hot Heats 10 and Under Swim Meet is governed in accordance with the 2009 National Federation swimming rules (high
school). All events will be timed finals. There will be assigned lanes for lap and circle swimming during warm-ups. No diving rule will be
in effect except during the last five (5) minutes of warm-ups.

Safety Notice:
|
There will be NO DIVING from the shallow end (non-block end) at any time during warm-ups or
during the meet. There will be NO DIVING from the starting blocks and no backstroke starts during the warm-up session, with this exception:
Limited diving and backstroke starts from the starting blocks during the last five (5) minutes of warm ups when announced. Any swimmer found swimming
under the bulkhead will be withdrawn from the meet.

Admission:
|
$3.00 admission charge (swimmers, coaches and children under 18 admitted free).
Programs: $2.00
Gates will open at 4:00 PM.

|
|
Seeding:
|
A staging area will be established on the pool deck to stage the children for their events.
Every attempt will be made to ensure the youngsters do not miss their heats. However, it is each coaches responsibility to get swimmers to the
seeding area when events are called.

|
|
Venue Rules:
|
This meet will be held at the Cumberland Valley High School Natatorium. There are a few rules that all coaches,
swimmers, and parents need to be aware:
- There is no food or drink permitted on the pool deck. Exceptions are made for water
and sport drink for the swimmers. This rule will be enforced by school security.
- No parents will be permitted in the locker rooms or on the pool deck. This will
be monitored by school district security. CV Aquatic Club/Indian Creek will provide parent "greeters" to take any children through the
locker rooms that may not have coaches
- The spectator gallery is on the second level. All parents will watch the meet
from the spectator gallery.
- We will NOT be using a gymnasium for this meet. There is deck space for 300 athletes.
- Deck access will be controlled. Other than swimmers, only volunteers, coaches, and
officials will be permitted on the pool deck. This will be controlled with deck passes.

Concessions:
|
A large assortment of food items will be available during the entire meet. Swimming equipment and apparel will
also be available for purchase from a local swim shop. So bring the whole family and enjoy the atmosphere.
