Our head coach is James Buck, a sophomore honor student and swimmer at Towson University. He swam for Indian Creek since he was
five. James swam and played water polo for Cumberland Valley High School lettering all four years in both sports. For both his junior and senior years at CV, James was the captain of the water polo team and
swim team. He swam for the West Shore YMCA for 10 years participating at the Y States Championships and the Y National Team. James had the opportunity to attend training at the Olympic Training Center in
Colorado Springs. He is majoring in computer science.
James was the assistant coach last year. Prior to that, he was a volunteer coach for Indian Creek for three summers.

Alie, our assistant coach, has been swimming since she was 7 years old, beginning her career at the Chambersburg YMCA. She
started off as a sprinter, doing everything other than breast stroke. Ironically, breast stroke ended up being her favorite. Alie first made nationals for the West Shore YMCA team when she was 12. She was
on the 400 medley relay which broke the national record. Alie made her first sectional cuts when she was 13, coming in 7th at sectionals when she was 14. As a high school swimmer for Mechanicsburg High
School, she made states every year, being named to the all-state team as a freshman in the 200 IM. Alie is now swimming in the Big East Conference for the Pirates of Seton Hall University. She is majoring
in nursing.
