Coaching Staff


Jonathan "J.C." Whistler has been involved in swimming since elementary school. He swam competitively for Mechanicsburg Area High School and played competitive water polo as well. During his swim career, he focused on the 50 and 100 Freestyle. Jonathan is now a proud Mechanicsburg High School Alumni.

Jonathan served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps before medically retiring due to an accident while deployed overseas. During Jonathan's time in the Marine Corps, he was a Military Occupation Specialty of Infantry and Combat Marksmanship Coach.

He brings both coaching experience and mentoring experience to the team. Jonathan has true passion for the sport of competitive swimming and looks forward to seeing the growth of the team as a whole.



Tyson Souder is the assistant coach this season. He is a junior at Cumberland Valley High School. During the school year, Tyson plays waterpolo and swims for CV. He has swam since he was 7 for Indian Creek. Tyson is looking forward to giving back to the team and working with the swimmers to improve their performance.

Tyson is also an Indian Creek lifeguard and is certified in CPR. In his free time Tyson likes listening to rock music, lifting weights, practicing for polo, and hanging out with friends. Tyson currently plans to start college in the fall of 2022 to major in finance and learn about the stock trade.
