DIRECTIONS

The Indian Creek Aquatic Club holds its meets at the Indian Creek Recreation Club which is located in the Indian Creek development. Click here for directions to the Indian Creek Recreation Club.

OFFICIALS/VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

The Indian Creek Recreation Club is an outdoor four-lane 25-meter pool with semiautomatic (2 button system) electronic timing at both ends of the pool. Hytech Meet Manager is used for the line-ups and results reporting. We use two timers (one from each team) and a recorder per lane to ensure accurate times and keep the meet moving. Each timer will operate a stopwatch and a button plunger.

 The visiting team should supply the following officials:

1. Four timers. (one for each lane)
2. Two recorders for lanes 2 and 4
3. Two stroke and turn judges. (one is acceptable)
4. Two finish judges. (one is acceptable)
5. One ribbon clerk and one results data entry.

If you chose to have two shifts of volunteers, then twice as many volunteers are needed. It is up to each team to make sure that replacement volunteers arrive as scheduled usually after the end of the backstroke events (event #38).

Based on the Federation of High School Swimming rules, the scoring for a four lane pool is as follows:

CONCESSIONS

The swim team operates the Creekside Cafe during all home swim meets. Donuts, bagels, fruit, salads, and hot dogs are some of the concessions sold. Coffee, water, sodas, and athletic drinks are also available. Proceeds from the Creekside Cafe are used to benefit the swim team. We encourage all spectators to support the team by patronizing the Creekside Cafe.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The Indian Creek Recreation Club is an outdoor pool. We make every attempt to conduct the meet. However, due to severe storms and lightning, we will clear the pool area until the storm passes. Please stay in your cars in the parking lot so that the meet can resume as soon as possible. A decision to postpone the meet will be the decision of the starter/referee with input from both teams' coaches and league representatives. The league permits a maximum delay of 30 minutes to determine if safe conditions return.

If severe weather conditions exist prior to 7:00 AM on the morning of a meet, an announcement will be posted on the Indian Creek web site (www.swimindiancreek.org) by 7:00 AM concerning the status of the meet.
